International Choir Festival Budapest

As part of the 2013 Budapest Spring Festival, you can enjoy some beautiful Friendship Concerts in Budapest in the 2013 International Choir Competition and Festival in Budapest. The patron of the prestigious choir music event is the widow of Zoltan Kodaly Hungarian composer, Sarolta Peczely, and the former Hungarian president, Arpad Goncz.

The choirs will contest by singing compulsory pieces from several Hungarian composers (e.g. Levente Gyongyosi, Miklos Kocsar). There are multiple venues in the city where the concerts and contest take place, including churches in Budapest, as well as the Palace of Arts, which is home to the Hungarian National Concert Hall.

Several choirs from various countries all over the world, from Indonesia, Japan, US, Israel, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Russia, etc. are coming to the Hungarian capital to compete with each other in a fascinating historical city during the International Choir Competition & Festival Budapest 2013.
